Paying Myself First

After my paycheck is directly deposited into my checking account, I "Pay Myself" before I have a chance to spend any money. I have sub-accounts set up so I can transfer money into a savings account and into other important bill-paying funds.

Just before the next paycheck arrives, I transfer whatever is leftover, spreading it out to different funds.

It's fun to watch your money grow with a few keystrokes.
