Help with Debt:
Is there a better way to pay off debt?

If you need help with debt, you're not alone. There are a lot of people in the same boat.

Growing up, we never talked about debt. We heard only one thing from our parents:

Stay away from debt. It's bad!

Sound familiar?

After extensive studying, we finally discovered that debt isn't that bad. It's how we utilize it that makes it productive or destructive.

But many fear debt too much to get help with debt. Sometimes it is because of fear that we make the wrong decisions. It's time to...

Think differently.

So, if we want to have different results, then it's time to think differently about debt.

There are two kinds of debt: Good debt and bad debt. Good debt helps you produce more wealth. Bad debt drives you to consume.

Many get these two mixed up. We did. Buying doodads with debt isn't good even though your bank calls it an asset. They are actually your bank's assets.

Most of us end up sleepless at night trying to pay off this debt. Some need help doing it. Some need help understanding why.

I think it's time we start asking questions.

  • Do I know how to eliminate debt? Most people hate their mortgages. So they try to pay off their mortgage as fast as they can by sending the bank more money. Learn better strategies to paying off your house.
  • Do I know how to pay off credit card debt? Eliminate credit card debt legally. There are steps you can take to help you zero your balances.
  • Is there a difference between being in debt and having liabilities? They don't mean the same thing but they often are used in the same context.
  • Is there better way to pay for college? How does racking up all that college debt affect my financial plan later?

Debt can be a scary thing. But it doesn't have to be. Learning how to pay off debt is simple.

Learning how to understand it and manage it to build wealth takes a little bit of studying.
